EcoAfrica Kenya is registered under the Companies Act in Kenya, and focuses on ecological economics, ecotourism development, and conservation biology research with strong emphasis on ornithology, mammals, herpetology, land use and climate change programmes. EcoAfrica Kenya strives to promote collaboration and synergies with relevant stakeholders in the fields of environmental governance and transboundary natural resource management within the East Africa region. Specifically EcoAfrica Kenya is involved in:
- promotion of internationally environmental accepted practices based on adequately researched environmental and updated scientific information and investments in incentive programmes for environmental protection measures and mitigation strategies;
- investment in environmental capacity building initiatives and training services through established provisions under the existing Kenya laws;
- environmental research services that promote sustainable environmental resource use opportunities, and analyses of environmental information/data, and publication of relevant environmental information materials;
- carry out tourism related businesses including investment programmes in ecotourism operations in Kenya in partnership with other private companies, and relevant stakeholders;
- support, subscribe or contribute to any charitable or public object or any institution, society with the view of promoting sustainable environmental management and governance.
